Hi all, I recently found the BP podcast and have been listening to it a great deal. I have had a strong interest in real estate investments since college (Texas A&M... Whoop) when a friend gave me Rich Dad Poor Dad. Over the past two weeks, I've probably listened to 30+ podcasts as I drive a good bit for work... Fast forward to today: Currently I work in sales for a global energy management company and focus on the commercial construction sector. This has further fueled my interest in real assets. My wife shares my interest, and is an asst real estate manger for a large global real estate company. She manages a 1M sq ft highrise office building downtown. In the past, she has also been GM of large apartment complexes prior to going into the commercial space. She holds a TX real estate license. We hope to parlay these skills and income sources to get started in our own deals. We have two kids and want more! We are looking to get to a financial place where she can stay home and work on the family business. I'm interested in buy and hold, wholesaling, and flips. My wife has been attracted to flips and loves all the shows about it. That is probably where we will start. I am currently in a learning phase, so I will be lurking and asking, but I promise not to get stuck there and never get a deal going. I found the area meet ups and would love to connect with some forum members. Please let me know which ones are the good ones, as google turns up many.
