I would not hesitate to rent to the disability organization that houses one of my relatives in NJ because they are a long established with history working with disabled adults as they age out of childhood programs however contrast that with a brand new organization with no other homes would be a hard no.

If there are two aging adults the commercial building won’t make it to death stepped up basis before those funds are needed for a retirement home.They should have a paid off house.  

We have a by-law here which permits no more than 4 unrelated adults per dwelling unit - it was devised specifically with student rentals in-mind.  

As a minor, you can make investments only under the supervision of your parent (or an adult) through a custodial account.

I understand him wanting more for the property but he should've at least acted like an adult and informed you of his decision. 

As a female investor who has worked in nonprofits and community organizing for most of my adult life-- and hopes to start a brick & mortar business in this next project, I am doing my best to make sure that the moves that I make are working to revitalize the area in a way that is equitably beneficial for me and for all of the longer-term residents and business owners in this pocket.Other than volunteering and partnering up with local organizations, I wonder if anybody has any creative and viable solutions to effectively engage with and become a part of the community.

I'm actively growing a social media following as we speak (on YouTube, instagram, and titktok) which is something that I have resisted for my entire adult life.What I'm finding is that very few meaningful connections are made through social media.
