If the software is not simplifying your life or making you more accurate, you shouldn't use it.Software does have extremely helpful features like online payments, marketing syndication (click a button and your property is advertised on multiple sites), electronic document review/signing, maintenance tracking, and owner reports.

:-)That being said, I still keep important original documents in several fire filing cabinets.Organizing your data (be it hard copy, or electronic) takes a lot of time.

@Robert Marek, there are a ton of online companies you can use that will handle rent collections electronically, and if you find a local attorney to partner with for evictions they will be able to handle all of that for you.

One tip I got from Paula Pant over at AffordAnythiung was to get a good scanner so I could quickly and easily store all my receipts electronically has been really helpful for me.

Account Closed, it is very possible that someone could be deceptive with electronic signatures.

@Raul Delacruz It's worth checking to be sure that your state accepts electronic signatures. 

Both claim to use electronic notary stamps in addition to electronic signatures which is something I use already anyway.Unfortunately, I'm stuck here for the next couple of months (surprise, cancel Christmas) and everyday that passes is costing me money.
