Here's my quick brainstormHow I would find a mentor:1)Attending a local real estate clubs2)Attend real estate investment focused educational classes (not get rich quick road shows)3) Look up and research real estate records, news articles etc. of local real estate investors4) Work for a real estate office/broker/agent who invests or works with investors5) Join & volunteer at social service organizations, charities etc that known investors in the area belong.

I would love to volunteer to get some inside experience.

I am a volunteer Guardian ad Litem here in my county and there are so many children aging out of foster care and orphanages.

However, poor people don't volunteer as much to sit on city zoning boards.

I volunteered at the Habitat for Humanity to get shorten my learning curve with construction, I was wondering if there are people/organizations that I could be affiliated with that would be able to offer me lots of experience.

The first time was when I volunteered for an “elevator pitch” competition at a local reia.

Financial freedom for my family - replace our combined 200k income in 10 years or so, teach my kids how money works, then more volunteer and philanthropy work 4.

4) Get in the game some how: Buy something, find a deal and partner, volunteer to learn about construction, etc.

I’ve informed my tenants that a portion of their rent will be donated to the Black lives Matter movements and they are ecstatic.Giving money is a fake "look at what I'm doing' "aren't I enlightened" sad joke.Do what I did and spend 5 years volunteering and teaching black kids Reading, Writing and Arithmetic.

That being said, I was hoping to connect with an agent in the area who could volunteer 15 minutes of their time to discuss recently sold comparables and help me price this property.
