We've looked into some of the numbers regarding setting up a functioning field: Rental equipment, store/shop, compressed air supply, climate controlled storage for paintballs, liability insurance, staffing expenses, etc.

My understanding is climate controlled storage units are very favorable now, especially if you can find an empty building and put the units inside, use the old parking lot to build more outside storage units.

If they have them in your area, sometimes the smaller subgroups of REIA may be a better fit starting out since it's usually a more informal and relaxed climate, so it's easier to get to know people.

My big worry is in cold climates, extreme cold in the house and long delay in repair could cause pipes to burst costing even more money.So service contracts for heating works for me, particularly if it's through my oil company.
