I’m 20 years old, I joined the navy and I want to start investing.

I have been in the navy for about 3 months now.

I live in San Diego, a town known for the Navy/military in general, and it certainly is a plus.

@Marquez Robinson I certainly won't tell you what you should or shouldn't do since I don't know you but here is the advice I offered my brother in law when he was in a similar situation getting out of the Navy...Go to a trade school and learn a trade - plumbing, electrical, HVAC, welding, whatever floats your boat. 

I have 7 years experience as a construction manager in the Navy and passed the contractors test in CA.

In the non-business area, my main consistent activity is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

If you are active duty or prior military, I would open a a checking and/or savings account with Navy Federal Credit Union.

Im from California though I'm possibly will go to the navy and will do my research about out of state investing while my time in the military since I've Seen investors point out there is a lot of potential such as better cash flow and I strongly agree.I feel like I'm getting to a process of learning and earning I know I can be earning more money with a civilian job though taking full advantage of my skill job and other things in the navy i can be better off.

I am local to Ventura County, a civil engineer for the Navy and live in Camarillo.
