If there is smoke or water damage contact a restoration contactor (I've had clients use Belfor and they were pleased with their service (do not sign a contact with any restoration company without the ok of the Insurance adjuster.

Where there's smoke there's fire and upon additional diligence found his company didn't syndicate the deals they claimed and was operating what amounts to an unlicensed broker-dealer business.

There are a lot of issues that can come up from growing plants inside the home, so most landlords are just saying no smoking and no growing inside the house. 

NO smoking, alcohol or drugs.
