Are you happier now?

This is a one time cost but I think you will be much safer and happier.

I mean it's funds you can't live off of until retirement but I am much happier controlling and earning much greater returns than I was in a stranded 401k plan.You definitely want to go the full LLC route so you can have checkbook control at your local bank rather than having to go through the self directed IRA company to make all the purchases.

If you're still getting another $100/month on $6k or $7k invested, and reduced turnover, and a happier resident, then you're doing pretty well.Thanks and hope that's helpful,Michael Gansberg

Hopefully with the move everyone will be happier. 

Landlords couldn't be happier, plus they love the extra rent of course.

So, is the moral of this story that optimists might have less truth, but might be happier and more successful?

Everyone has been much happier since then.I know this sounds bleak, but it is what we have seen over the many years of managing homes. 

For one, the happier/stabiler your "home" is, the better.

Mornings must be a much happier place.
