We're in real estate and will cross paths again eventually, doesn't seem to make any sense to burn a bridge. 

That value hasn't been realized, unless you refinance, or get secondary loans, and doesn't guarantee future value.Also burns me up when they pass a bill and say they know it is unconstitutional, but they'll let the courts sort it out.

Admittedly I am a tracker and love to analyze mundane things like burn down rates to predict when I need to bring more supplies to the property.  

And does your calculation take into consideration the fact that an entire town can burn down, and the only assistance the government will give you is a $700 gift card? 

Does anyone know of a list site that will provide targeted lists (that are not a scam) like:- Owners of houses who have owned thier homes for over 20 years (posssible repair problems so they might sell for less, or possible free and clear owners who might sell for terms)- Non-owner occupied (burned out landlords)Then one could do a direct mail campaign.

you won't be able to pull a permit. when someone lives in it and it doesn't have HVAC, plumbing, or electrical right and it burns down like another garage I tore down and someone lost their life in linden you'll get hit with a lawsuit. good luck. you'll also be the first person I've ever seen to get a second adu built in linden.

If it is mostly smoke damage to the interior it will be ok, but if the roof caught fire and burned away that's a whole different ball game.

Some exclude short-term rentals and if that's in the fine print and your home burns or is damaged in a storm, it's not covered because you acted outside the policy limitations.

The county assesses those lots as worth about 10K, but when houses burn down in the neighborhoods where I have houses, the rarely rebuild them.

They say the stock market AVERAGES 10% for a reason... a crash and burn eventually shows up and your "this is easy peezy" becomes a panic as your portfolio crashes.
