Short and Medium Term Rentals Other insurance ... not homeowners not air cover
I'm so confused... do y'all do other insurance on top of homeowners policies on your short term and medium term rentals? I had someone ask me today about how they get the same type of policy that they get with hospitable ... without having hospitable. I don't use hospitable or any other combined booking engine other than VRBO and Airbnb. It's so much work to use those other engines and I found them to be worthless for what I do. Then does the insurance cover a mid-term rental? I'm so confused as to if it is worth it. From what I can tell the fees per booking are high and they don't really cover much other than those extras if I don't like the actual combined utility of the calendar maintenance of airbnb and vrbo. If the same insurance does exist... then what is it ... because I truly don't want the hospitable or guesty route at this point.

I use Proper Insurance, which is generally regarded as having the most comprehensive coverage, but is also higher priced than some. Other options as mentioned are CBIZ, Foremost, and also Steadily and Safely. Some familiar insurance companies now offer STR coverage, like State Farm, Allstate, and Progressive.
For MTR only, you may only need common landlord insurance such as for long term rentals. You’ll need to ask the agents. Tell them exactly how it will be rented out. You don’t want them denying a claim because you were trying to save a few bucks.
