As of 2 hours ago (1:00pm PST), there were a total of 7 fires:Pacific Palisades: over 27,000 acres burned, contained 11%Eaton Fire: over 14,000 acres burned, above Altadena, 27% containedHurst Fire: 800 acres, San Fernando Valley, 89% containedThese fires are contained:Lidia Fire: in Antelope Valley north of LAKenneth Fire: west San Fernando Valley, they suspect this one to be arson, suspect arrested (saw on one news report)Sunset Fire: Runyon Canyon near Hollywood HillsWoodley Fire: in Sepulveda Basin and San Fernando Valley 

These fires are so hot even the steel structures melted and burned. 

@Colby Burns  Agreed regarding the PM side with them (A member of my spouses family had a horrible experience with them)  Regarding the construction side, I cannot speak to. 

If you get greedy and put #3 in front of #1 or #2 you can get burned like any other market. 

I for one built a simple chrome extension to see if the mortgage is less than rent and accordingly provide that information on every zillow listing page.
