Does anyone have experience developing a tiny home community? 

Look at zoning and see if you could do manufactured home or tiny homes.

I live in the Bay Area and am interested in purchasing land in California, preferably waterfront, to build a tiny house/A frame as STR. 

Ask yourself would you take a little less than 1% for a tenant that is more likely to treat my home better and stay multiple years, or get a tiny more cash flow, but have to do evictions, repaint, carpet every year.Hope this helps.

You don’t think that maybe you are just slightly a tiny bit biased because you benefit monetarily from lead ?  

Can I put an airstream or RV, clear tent, or tiny home on this commercial land while I try to change the zoning to residential?

Following this thread - thought of doing something similar in a different state - creating tiny homes to rent out as vacation rentals or a small RV park. 

The issue we ran into was that in order to go find a lender to lend on our 15 tiny home development, they wanted the land to be paid off first so they could take first position.

Rates are nominally - a tiny bit higher than in November.
