When the loan mods start to return to higher rates, those folks who have become accustomed to having several hundred dollars extra each month (and probably have become accustomed to spending it) are going to panic, and this whole thing will start again.Hopefully there is a long-term plan to avoid these sorts of things, but barring that, it could be a rough few years ahead of us before it all shakes out...

I'm not looking to promote my business (BP mods), but I want to share my level of experience in the space and the level of education I bring to the table.

Also, she sees that I talk about it non-stop, listen to pod-casts, read, and educate myself everyday during work, break, etc.

I've read the beginners guide (lots of great info) and am working my way through the pod cast and various articles on the BP site.One aspect I need a little more education on is financing.

In my personal portfolio I've repositioned 6 NPLs and the borrowers are still paying after 2-3 years, mainly because I've had them pay $10K or more towards their arrearages as part of the loan mod process, so with that amount of skin in the game, the likelihood of redefault is lowered.
