I believe the TN Real Estate Commission requires affiliate brokers to live within 50 miles of the broker's office.

I've even had agents tell me I'm not entitled to the buyer's side commission since I'm not affiliated with a participating broker.

This is a good for the homeowner and it eliminates the fear that the homeowner will get scammed by the salesperson and HLP.From a business standpoint the bad thing with HLP is they do nothing in providing a way for the affiliate or sales rep to easily source qualified leads.

Though, it's true, you CAN become an affiliated marketer for them and receive a commission, it's not required.

If you are thinking about this as an education resource, I don't think there is anything better out there, not because I'm an affiliate, but because I've purchased several other packages over the years, and none came close!!! 

We will have experience with this in the next few weeks and I will report back what it is like to advertise for investors and present an investment opportunity to a group of prospective investors that we have no prior connection or affiliation with.
