Is anyone here joined or familiar with Renatus?

Question

I am new to wholesaling so I figured I should attend the local REI meetings to meet some investors. So I went to meetup.com and looked for some local meetups and found about 4-5. So I decided to sign up for all of them (found out later on they are all exactly the same meeting just organized by different people with different title to the meeting). So I attended one of the meetings and during the meeting, they brought up Renatus and their courses and I was like here we go again someone is trying to sell me their products. Even though they didn't force me to buy anything yet. They told me to come back for the follow-up meeting. So I am assuming that's when they will try to sell me. What I want to know is it worth signing up for their product? Anyone here has experience with Renatus? Thanks.

Echo Ned's feedback. the reason you went to multiple meetings that ended up being the same is that this program is basically a MLM type product those who sponsor you make a spiff .. and when you join ( if you did) and you bring in new blood you get a spiff..

so basically MLM for RE education.. with the top teir folks making a a ton ( top of the pyramid) and those at the base feeding the money up the pyramid..  Although one member on BP is quite pro Renatus and says their information is quality i have know way of knowing but basic real estate knowledge can be learned on line at the libarary.. etc.  also if your looking for specific how to  like wholesaling , etc just pop on E Bay and you can buy any a number of Gurus tapes and books for 25 to 50 bucks from those who paid thousands for them and RE was not for them..

@Kazi Islam I have no experience with Renatus. I have read threads here where the general opinion is not very good. Do a search and I am sure you will find some feedback here.

Just the tactics already used in your situation is a big red flag to me.

PS I have no problem with paying for your education. I do have a problem  with shady tactics, overpromising and sending out new investors with unrealistic expectations and bad advice.

Yeah dude i wouldn't even bother i dont know where you're from but where im at the meetup i went to wasn't what i was expecting neither were the stories i heard one woman who was spanish looking short black hair she seem like the type that scared of anything hyperactive looking for attention top of that i heard shes into married men it was three other women who werent too kind and the guys in there seem like they were cool but was talking way too much about how they paid for the stuff i wasnt sold on it and all of this i don't have the money for so they would pitch this credit stuff on me to fund money i personally think it is a rip off . i don't recommend renatus because all of this is a pyramid scheme to me people getting rich off of other people.

I've had my fair share of falling for gurus and scam companies. I was invited to one of the 8-hour classes and didn't have an idea of what the company was about, just that I could learn how to save on taxes with my husband's cabinet business. I wish the person talking to me would've been upfront, because at the end I felt betrayed like he/she had ulterior motives. I, truly, did enjoy the class, though, and I wrote so fast my brain and hands hurt. It, truly, was the most valuable information I'd received about taxes, thus far. I was really skeptical of the company for a while and my friend because of the above, so I claim to not be biased. I just wanted all the info so I could make an educated decision for myself, without influence one way or the other. I did end up purchasing the lowest set of classes (taxes, debt payment, credit, etc.) and really felt like they were worth it. My husband and I, then, did purchase the whole thing because we saw the value in it and being the direction we wanted to take in life. We were sick of the gurus, trying to figure out what information was correct or not, trying to find it, not knowing what was available or what questions to ask, etc. My husband and I in the months leading up to it even said, "Where are all the coaches and education for these types of things??" Though, it's true, you CAN become an affiliated marketer for them and receive a commission, it's not required. My husband and I have not made a penny from doing that (we haven't been interested), but we did earn all of our money back, plus more, from actually applying the education and doing real estate investing. We had $65K of debt, without the education, for medical bills, school loans, vehicles, consumerism, hardship, etc., and we were able to pay all of that off, plus the education, in 11 months with what we learned. That was feasibly impossible, beforehand. We also made $200K from an investment property, without paying capital gains, and what we learned, after that. So from a real, honest perspective, looking and being on both sides, I have truly felt Renatus has been right for us and the best thing we did. REI is not for everyone and not everyone has the self-discipline or drive to motivate themselves, so that can be a catch. Nothing is a guarantee, so that's where it's all left up to the individual.

I can show you incredible investment deals without spending an outrageous amount of money getting educated.  You will learn by doing with me if you so desire.  I get paid by doing deals, not by charging you to educate you.  I work with many BP members and have put together 20% cash on cash deals, 2% rent to purchase price.  30 plus years of experience as an investor, broker, property manager, residential redeveloper.

@Jay Trill I went to the meeting hoping to network with other investors ( Northern VA). The guy (Umaer Haq) who gave the presentation seemed nice and he was very excited to teach all the different things about RE. Little did I know it was one of those pyramid schemes. Every local REIA meeting in my area are being held by folks who are trying to sell Renatus products!!! Smh

I hated a lot of their sales people, a couple seemed honest and decent people but I still have the screenshot of the person who sent me the text bragging about the money that he had made and there are always people looking to get into real estate  It was all first track to money is doing this, and forget about the real estate and just focus on the money. program. You are better off spending the time going to Amazon or your local bookstore and just buyout the entire real estate section- you would actually get more out of it doing it that way.

I have used Renatus in the past. I think it was 2012 when I first run into there marketing. Signed up, took the first online class. And was no longer able to commit. I am still arguing with them about my credit. I paid a down payment for a course I never completed. Never received a refund for the 1500 I paid. And they billed my credit for over 20k. The education they  give is not worth that amount of money. I wish I would have known back then. Now, if you are looking for a hustling community. They are it. And not in a bad way. For them to still be going to this day. There are differently going to teach you something. It’s just been my experience that I’ve done more with the Bigger Pockets forum than with what they were able to offer. I have bulidt upon what I got from the people I connected with. But I won’t say that I wouldn’t have ended up in the same space. Call me what you may. Smh.
