All putting in a deadline does means is you're taking the attitude of "taking your ball home, if you won't play by my rules".If your seller is getting other offers, they don't need your offer, and they might just take the attitude of, "fine, pull it, I'll just go with one of the other offers".You don't have to set a deadline. 

Brooks isn’t the one with an attitude problem.

Hopefully you don't have discriminatory attitudes toward any particular demographic, but there are also realities to sharing walls, floors, and ceilings with other people.
