@Steve Bracero I guess im more willing to chose family over strangers because Im nervous of the outcome due to all these Massachusetts tenant protection \horror stories I’ve heard of.

I would not want random strangers allowed to come and go into that house !

There is this idea tha one can have up to 10 mortgages if you go through this method, but I have yet to meet someone who has done it successfully.I’ve bought and sold enough houses that I know what to look for in a flip, a BRRRR, and a long-term hold (that I PM myself until my fleet of doors gets too large to handle - and I’ve identified a PM company or 2 that I would be willing to turn the PM responsibilities over to once I no longer want to be as deeply hands-on.But for now, I’m wary of many who simply want to make-a-buck, try to avoid hucksters, and realize *I* do a better job managing my RE investments than a stranger.

While it's good to look into multiple markets across the country, I understand there's a certain trust factor that's needed to work with strangers and it'll take time to get to know them.

Your family might not appreciate strangers staying on the family compound.

It's just not the case.I bet a ton of people in LA buy this book because LA is one of the most difficult markets to buy in and many of us don't have time to go knocking on strangers doors introducing ourselves as investors.

Stranger things have happened, and its not impossible but, why take a path which such a low success rate?
