Hi BP Community! I've been a long-time lurker and have benefited enormously from the wisdom of this great group, and I figured it was time to introduce myself. I'm an attorney in Manhattan and an active real estate investor in Northern New Jersey. I've lived with my long term boyfriend, John Errico, in Union City for the past year and a half. We are investing in duplexes and triplexes there and we love our neighborhood. We're also investing in New Haven, Connecticut, and we've got our eyes on Jersey City and Newark. We've met up with several bigger pockets members and we absolutely love this community! Here are some things I like:

- Ugly houses on pretty blocks

- Buy and hold investing

- Houses that cash flow

- Getting my hands dirty after work and on the weekends with a great DIY project

- Exploring interior design options to make ugly houses pretty

- Learning new skills related to all of the above!

- BP members!

Thanks to all of you for your enthusiasm for real estate.

Shannon
