NO.I had not yet developed the confidence (nor the capital) to say proudly to all my friends, family and strangers, that I was a real estate investor...and that I, above ALL real estate professionals already available, was able to help them!

Stranger things have happened from court proceedings even though all laws have been followed.In the meantime, there is no reason not to use those funds, as collateral, for some kind of line of credit to help with other financial purchases or needs.DO NOT use the funds to repay loans or in any way except for collateral security.

Most renters are honest to strangers!

For strangers, they might require you to use official form with "lawyer language" and notarized signature, record as the first deed and what not.  

So who owns these houses that will take nothing down from strangers...

Additionally I would not be surprised if people in general opted to stay in a STR as opposed to a hotel to reduce contact with strangers.
