I would contact the management company and see if this broker is affiliated with the sale.

If they give a to good to be true answer or sound like a used car salesman (no offense to the profession, just feeding the sterotype), then that would be a possible red flag.A big deal is if they own the property; if they don't, ask them their affiliation with the property.  

@Joshua Davies I'm about to give you the best piece of advice you will ever get regarding being successful in property management:  Join NARPM and then affiliate with CALNARPM at your local level.

I was in KC yesterday for a restaurant opening I am affiliated with and the GM of that restaurant invest in Memphis citing taxes are cheaper in Memphis.  

Your affiliation with the group is usually enough to not have additional requirements for being new.

I didn't have to join their affiliate program (which seemed a lot like an MLM in disguise) to pay for that $22,000 education and I have found everything they offer right here for free.  

This is to say nothing of the general business practices that it is a good idea to keep certain things private like religion, political affiliation etc.So what are your thoughts?
