Using a local realtor probably won’t do much for you because they operate on commission and 90% + of their sales are based on families looking for their white picket fence big yard dream home 

Do not approach your traditional Realtor who's selling nice big family homes in the suburbs with white picket fences and what not.

If painting, I would decide if my gray walls leaned green or blue and go with a darkish green/gray or blue gray...with a strong green or blue undertone.
