How about having a speaker for the meet ups.

The last meeting was standing room only so very popular depending on the speaker, so it's definitely the place to meet like minded/monied investors & most are not shy to share their battle scars. 

GAREIA and Atlanta REIA general meetings typically have a speaker who has something to sell.  

I'm also having a big RE networking event at SFSU in Nov this year where I'll have out of state investor speakers/vendors from different markets..

I listened to the podcast 113 and feel that I share the same feeling as the guest speaker on rentals.

If you have an area of investing that interests you, you can then find the top speaker / teacher that in that subject.

Of course, I try to have interesting speakers at each meeting.

They also offer some very good free teleconferences where you can get some great teachings as well as some good offers on products and services from the speakers.
