Like Landon said, good on him for admitting hit; honesty in a tenant is a very good thing.The only issue, and I don't know enough to speak to it, is if you accept him as a tenant knowing that he has a misdemeanor, is there a way to get into a discriminatory housing situation because you selectively enforced your own rental criteria.  

To be honest, I am still very green when it comes to house hacking or investing in general.  

Taxes and death, both inevitable, no point in wasting time thinking about them beyond doing what you can to defer both as long as possible.Having come from the middle class, and in all honesty still part of it, I believe every individual has the same opportunities to rise above it or drop below it.

No one with a track record of mortgage fraud is getting another mortgage any time soon, purchase or refinance, even if "this time I'm being honest, I promise."

Hello everyone,  Paul Brodeur here, just wanted to introduce myself here on Bigger pockets, I am from north Grosvenor dale Connecticut which borders central Massachusetts,  I am fairly new to real estate investing but it  has become my passion ,  I have been listening to the BP podcasts and have learned so much from them , I have owned a few rental properties in the past but had no idea what I was doing to be honest, I made a lot of mistakes and wish I would have found a place like BP back then , currently I am concentrating on finding fix and flips and wholesale deals in my northeast Connecticut and central Massachusetts areas, I am looking to learn and network and build great business relationships , thank you for looking at my post

To be honest I have listened to auidiobooks and podcasts all summer while I do my own home renovations.

Honesty is your best trait in sales.  

My wife and I are in the energy industry and love our jobs but recent market conditions have us wanting to hedge our income resources.To be honest, I don't have any aggressive or lofty goals at this time.
