They are going to put in a certain amount of work and their own money on marketing, photos, their overhead costs (agents are independent contractors who pay their own E&O and health insurance, income taxes, MLS dues, NAR dues, continuing ed requirements, etc., etc. all out of their commissions before they get to keep any $), their time, etc. then they also have to split anything they make with their brokerage. $4k would be losing money for me but again it sounds like a lower cost of living area.

The Detroit Health Department even reached out to us personally last week to begin working in tandem with us and our in-house property management team placing section 8 tenants for them that are in dire or desperate need of shelter into our properties.

They’re taking the self-checkouts away there too because they couldn’t prevent rampant theft with them, and many restaurants are going back to paper menus because they’ve gotten such negative feedback from people needing to read the menu and order on their phones (I have dietary restrictions due to a health condition and I hate ordering on my phone because it’s so much easier just to talk to somebody).
