I'm not saying they will be "lying" to you, but they don't necessarily have your best interests at heart either.I usually talk to my property management company to find out the vacancy rate, and the other numbers can be found by calling the local tax collector, your insurance provider, utility companies, etc.You'll also want to order a typical home inspection to understand the full scope of what you're buying and what kinds of items you'll have to pay for out-of-pocket in the immediate future.I've actually got a pretty detailed guide that I wrote about this entire process.
