I have been reading quite a bit about real estate investing, and I am looking to make the plunge on my first deal as soon as I've learned a bit more.

I would suggest trying to get in with a top producing team to learn the ropes if you take the plunge.

You will learn so much from buying a small SFR or duplex and renting it out, and with a smaller amount of up-front cash, you won't plunge too far if the deal goes south.I believe I could have purchased 2-3 times as many properties in my first year as I did, but I am trying to build a slow, steady portfolio that grows at a healthy, sustainable pace.

Hello BP Community,New member here finally taking the plunge and contributing to the great forum content.

He has been bartending for years and years and the schedule was incredibly hard for a vibrant family life, so he took the plunge and got his RE license and is 2 months now working with a RE team.  

You have already made the plunge into REI!

I've got a couple questions before taking the plunge.

I finally decided to take the plunge and join.
