There will always be hurus claiming to make you rich for a fee ... remember people like Carlton Sheets from the 80s?

We've reached the point where there are now more gurus selling their get-rich-quick crap than there are properties for sale in America. 

Here are a few I recommend: "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" by Roberto Kiyosaki; "Set for Life" by Scott Trench; "The Unofficial Guide to Real Estate Investing" by Spencer; "The BiggerPockets Ultimate Beginners Guide" found here on BP; "The Book on Rental Property Investing" by Brandon Tuner.

Is it done to show how rich we are, No.

or are those just "get rich quick money scams"?

There’s riches in the niches. 

She better make a lot of money or marry someone rich because she has some unrealistic expectations. 

The reality is that the new generation of native-born Americans don't want to build houses, they all want cushy high-paid jobs in tech or finance etc. or to get rich quick off of crypto or being a youtuber or running internet businesses, etc. very few of them want to work in the trades.
