I hope all goes well.Question on the down payment-I have 10% right now, but if I sold one of my cars (I teach auto shop and have many projects and toys) I could easily raise the other 10% and then some.

Answering to these guys drives me nuts.In addition I had to guarantee these low LTV loans personally, with the LLC that owns more than the financed property and my mgt s-corp which owns no assets but has rights to collect rents to my entire portfolio.Higher risk and higher hassles have me laser-focused on paying mine off or refinancing into 10-yr fixed private money.

So we we're toying with the idea of pursuing a multi-family property that we could rent out to multiple tenants in Chicagoland.I am speaking out of complete ignorance, but I feel like the net return for a multi-family in Chicago will be higher than two single family homes outside of Portland.Thoughts?

I've actually been seriously toying with the idea of joining them, if for nothing else then so I can attend their 2-day seminar which is only available to paid members.Supposedly, you can learn quite a bit during the 2-day seminar, and I've heard that the second day is focused on how to transition from SF to MF, which right now is actually my top goal.
