Introduction
Hello fellow BP members,
My name is Tim, and I live in Denver.
My day job is flying. This is both a great job as well as something I love doing. So I'm pretty lucky in that respect. The thing about this career path is it can be a rocky road.
I have been toying with the idea of buying a property that needs some work, but would end up being a good rental income. I'd like to build to two or three. My goal is to have some good passive income that I'm able to manage myself. I live pretty simply and don't need huge amounts of cash. All this is to work toward achieving financial independence (FI).
I've joined the BP community mainly for educational purposes. I have a pretty good background in construction, as well as a fairly good network of people in that industry. However I do know that this is only one small piece of the real estate investing pie. I'd like to find a mentor in the Denver area who might be willing to walk me through a deal of theirs, or maybe someday a deal of my own. I don't see myself having the extra cash for another year or so. This makes this a perfect opportunity to gain some education while I build.
Looking forward to it!
