Keep in mind it doesn't mean I only like markets that meet all of these - just in a perfect world these are things I like:I like areas that have more mild winters (as snow and harsh winters do contribute to some wear and tear on roofs and exteriors)I look for areas that have taxes and insurance that have low / very reasonable rates as a % to market value (something you don't see often in the northeast).

Look up your state laws and see how harsh they are, then make the decision, but I found a company that did the home inspection and XRF test together for a nice discount.

They can either tent the house, or "spot" treat, which is injecting chemical into the walls wherever they see signs of them.

The trap under the master tub let go (I realize it was likely coincidental, but likely hastened by the heavy chemicals), the water then ran down 2 stories into the basement, taking out 2 "vintage" plaster ceilings, basement carpet, etc.

Winters up here are harsh... really harsh... the insulation/ roof / and heating system has to bein good condition and will need updated.
