Hello from New Mexico!
Hello to the Bigger Pockets community. My name is Chris and I'm new to real estate investing. I've been trying to read as much as I can about it, but I know the best way to learn is to just get started. I have a degree in Chemical Engineering, but recently lost my job (so if you know anyone hiring, let me know).
Therein lies the problem: I would love to get started, but not many people are looking to lend thousands of dollars to a jobless 26 year-old. I know my credit score is good, because I was able to get a car loan. However, even that was a struggle because I did not have a lot of credit built up. Only my salary and and time on the job (at that time) saved me. I'm in the middle of a move right now, so I'm hoping to get involved with a REIA group once I can.
Anyway, just thought I'd introduce myself and see if anyone has been in a current situation and has any good ideas! Until then I'll be reading along...
