I live in South-Eastern MN (Rochester) and I'm a newbie who is listening to podcasts, reading and trying to learn the language of real estate.

We are talking about KC, MO from the Missouri River on the north end, 71 hwy as the western border and 435 as your south/eastern border.

Up State NY has a ton of rural land opportunity.See what you can negotiate through craigslist in that part of the state as well as eastern PA.  

Go onto the clubs website my local favorite is Eastern Massachusetts REIA http://www.EasternMassREIA.com When looking at a club I want to see a variety of activities and educational opportunities.

It's a little bit less urban(some is rural) and much more affordable area than a lot of Orlando and is fairly close to the local airport and not far from University of Central Florida which is on the eastern outskirt of Orlando.

I saw from another post your in eastern Henrico near the airport, as am I.

There is a Meetup in Plymouth, the South Shore REIA on the Cape, the Eastern MA REIA with meetings in Rockland and Taunton, and many many more if you want to get up to the Boston area and north.

Thanks @Kelly McE i'm going to be focusing on the eastern suburbs because that's the area i know best but i'm open to most of Cleveland.
