New member from NC

My name is Adam and I was born and raised in eastern NC.  I graduated from East Carolina University (go Pirates!) in Greenville, NC with a degree in Construction Management and currently work in highway and site construction.  I have recently become interested in real estate and real estate investing and purchased my first property in Greenville, as a primary residence, back in June of this year.  I am definitely new to the real estate/investing world but I am committed to learning and growing within the industry as I see a ton of potential not only in my beautiful state of NC but across the US for years to come.    

I bought my first property (single family home) with the intent of using it as a rental but things changed and it has become my home for now.  I would love to purchase more properties similar to mine and use them as rentals since properties in my area of NC are reasonably priced with great potential for rental income.  With that said, my biggest interest would be buy and hold investing at the moment, however I would love to learn more about and possibly try short term investing once I get my feet on the ground and become more comfortable with things.  Thank you for having me as a member of your community as I look forward to this new journey.

Welcome Adam to the BP community.  Be sure you read and listen to the podcasts.  I just purchased @Brandon Turner new books on investing in rentals.  Just got it last night, will start reading later tonight.  This may be of use to you in accelerating your education.
