I buy Skype numbers for my offshore VAs.

I've heard of several firms that specialize in this for RE investing, and a few that focus on real estate agents and pull VAs from the Philippines. 

Can VAs make calls into US toll free somehow or do we have to pay extra for some sort of calling service .

We have used VAs for many things just make sure they speak well and sound as not foreign as possible if that makes sense. 

When I stack up some capital I'll invest in automated methods (voice answering service, VAs, etc.) but now I have just me.

You've been working on the systems piece, and it's a great start that you are tech-savvy and using Buildium, VAs, and other tech.As for the people, here's an out-of-the-box recommendation you might like.

I Use hubstaff.Takes screenshots of the VAs screen at random intervals.Then what you can do is hire a third VA who doesn't know the other two VAs, and have that VA look at VA 1 and 2s screenshots for irregularities.
