Knowing that my Uncle was living in Singapore at the time, they probably figured that they could get away with lying to my Uncle, since he lives so far away, telling him that they visit the rental frequently and that they maintain it to where it needs to be.

There's nothing that some stock broker can do in Singapore trading derivatives that can effect my portfolio as long as I buy right and am in it for the long haul.

For example, properties and hotels in Singapore are very expensive but if I can find someone who wants to swap for a month or two for our vacation property in Napa Valley, then I don't have to use tax dollars to pay for a place.
