Hi guys, as a BC resident just curious if anyone is investing in the province?

Is there any standard place to find property valuations for that province?

Talking about real estate prices in general (as in real estate prices in canada or north america) being high, and that it's a bad time to buy, is not good advice, as it really depends on the country, the province, the city, and even the neighborhood that you're in!

I don't know how closings are done in the US, but in Canada I had to have a notary or lawyer in the place where the rental was and where I lived as it was in another province.

Know what the other costs are (inspection, if there are purchase taxes-BC and some other provinces have them, use a notary for closing). 

I also like there's much greater appreciation potential in these provinces than in other provincess

If your not familiar with certain Canadian real estate markets the greater Vancouver area is a bit bonkers compared to other provinces.. similar to SF or other areas on the west coast.Two years ago I inherited a home worth roughly 1.2mil.

CMHC is wrong so much of the time and they do a general statement for Canada when the markets are different all over the province and all over the Country.  

It’s like I’m watching the province die before my eyes.
