If you sold it for $500K (after expenses) and invested it in a savings account (or some in a RRSP or TFSA-up to your limit), even at 4%, you'd get $20K a year.Also what province is it in? 

You should research the eviction process in your province and city.- Suggest you try to network with other landlords in your area, check MeetUp app and others.Your other option is to hire an attorney, but understand you will have to pay them for your ignorance.

I understand some of the economic factors that can lead one to a particular city or province (or state), but unsure of some of the key elements as you funnel down below that level.Appreciate any insight.Tyler 

Hi @Akintunde AboabaIf you want to reduce your risk of difficult tenants, choose a province with fair landlord-tenant laws, like Alberta, and not BC.

Now I am looking to the US market as I believe my Province has priced me out.

I haven't seen any statistics to this effect and I don't think any has necessarily been compiled but I bet I wouldn't exaggerate if I state that 95% of the value of real estate in Southern Spain or at least the province of Andalucia is in the Costa del Sol.

I'd look in another province (Ontario isn't any better).
