I been a memeber of Bigger Pockets for sometime now and I’ve soaked up a lot of knowledge during my time here.

I'm trying to soak up as much knowledge as possible between now and then.

The situation continued to get worse as the water soaked into the floors, and through the walls and ceilings into the first floor.

I'm looking for your musings/predictions about how STR profits will change, the risks you see in investing in STRs, if STRs are contributing to housing shortages and rising home prices, and/or if you think there is lots of demand still around to soak up supply.

However, when the iron filter flushed through the water at midnight, one side had water all over their basement storage room and soaked into the carpet.  

This is what I tried:1) Lots of WD-40, with plenty of time to soak-in2) Blow torch - the old heat & cool method didn't do a thing3) Lots and lots of elbow grease.

Then when the 'spill soaked' igniters fail to function & need to be replaced it drives the tenants crazy & the LL when it's $15-$30/replacement.

When I experienced flooding problems, it was natural to want to try to jump right into fixing the issue, but I soon realized I was just shooting in the dark until I knew the cause of the flooding (for me, it turned out to be a ground water issue)There are lots of questions you can ask to try to determine the cause of the flooding--for instance, was the entire carpet soaked evenly, or was it only soaked in a particular spot?
