I later figured out that the soap/shampoo over time reacts chemically with the copper line and corrodes it.That is all I can come up with at the moment, but gives you a few more ideas before you open up walls.

If you put them in and did not do your job properly, then this is your fault and I would not advise quitting since I believe everyone should clean up their own messes and learn whatever they can from themI'm not trying to sound harsh or belittle you.
