I have 12 properties and my paper is limited to mostly two little briefcase sized plastic paper organizers with multiple pockets. 

Or worse, once I had the vinyl around the glass cracked by 2 big roofing nails pounded in to hold the plastic shower curtain as a blind.

I own 17 doors, so I am a small fry in comparison to some of you.

In any of those cases put plastic over the floor & doors and tape them down around the edges and you can work with the windows slightly open for air flow.

The house next door is owned by elderly couple (in a living trust) who live a couple hours away and bought the very nice house several years ago for their brain-fried and/or druggie divorced adult son to have a place to live.

@Brooke Villanyi I know a number of later in career folks who maintain their primary residence and have another "pied a terre" in the city for work (I hope) stay there during the week and come home Fri-Mon kind of thing.

Only thing I can think of was that we left some empty  plastic water bottles (not a place with drinkable tap water) on the counter because the trash cans were full. 

Most young folks clean up but a few do almost nothing, the guys who fish are usually ok, but they are clearly not used to cleaning a kitchen and it takes an extra half hour to clean up the grease from frying fish and to get the fish smell out.Overall I am pleased and grateful at my guests who clean up after them selves, but I don't require it.It is a different story if I find peanut butter and jelly in the carpet or worse pet urine or crap in the house.
