Compromise is the best solution.Last October we purchased a duplex we found in July after analyzing the heck out of it.

Plus I'm not sure what my insurance options are if I own them in my own name--I was told not to use personal umbrella for rental properties because it has lots of exclusions.The idea of using no more than 3 LLCs and spreading the cost of the entities over a group of properties seemed like a good compromise to me. 1 LLC for each prop is not something I want to do.

It is easy to be on the wrong side of the gray line in this business and you will start compromising all sorts of things later on if you do this now.

My wife thinks that people are fine just staying in hotels, but I am convinced that hotels are almost always a compromise - especially for families.....

Most of the problems arise out of due process, specifically, judges concern over a party being entitle to knowledge of the case being omitted from noticing, thereby having their rights compromised.

If you like to cash flow $100/door on a small property don't compromise when evaluating a larger one and cash flow $50/door due to volume.

I also had them check with a camera and came up with 4 areas that they "think" is compromised.
