Hi, we are considering buying a vacation rental condo near the beach in possibly the Cabo Rojo area, the Caribbean side of Puerto Rico.

Had overextended ourselves (buying a boat and sailing to the Caribbean does that i guess) and our back up plan to sell a house back home somehow happened right as covid hit and out tenants stopped paying rent. 

Buyers want to get off the crazy carnival ride that for many has been more frustration than anything else.

Northern Americans move to Latin America and the Caribbean while Northern Europeans move to Southern Europe.I'm currently in the beautiful Riviera Maya in Mexico and coming across many of those.

No boardwalks or carnival attractions here.

I also liked Caribbean side of Costa Rica.I will be retiring in the next six months and I'm looking to move to either to Costa Rica or possibly Boca Islands Does anyone knows of what are the laws of owning properties in Bocas or Costa Rica?
