We still have to work at it but the platform is ready to go. 

If the property works on that platform, I would shoot for that all day.

Each crowdfunding platform is different and they all have their advantages and disadvantages.

I am a Zimbabwean Architect interested in learning all I can about real estate from all of you so that I begin to invest in my home country, of course real estate in Zimbabwe is very different compared to USA or Canada but still the two days I have been active on this platform I`ve picked up one or two valuable points that I can apply here.

You typically are not dealing with the owners, the owners think they are worth more than reality, you can't contact the owners, collateral is hard to see, if at all, the platform is marking them up so you will pay those fees, and if its some type of auction, you have to deal with the feeding frenzy of similar people thinking they are good deals, when many have no clue of how to value them.With that said, good luck and welcome to notes!

I am now learning that the crowdfunding platform is going bankrupt and they’ve reached out to me saying that I can either sign the note back to them for 25% of the principal or get nothing after bankruptcy.

The issue that popped up was the first few times you tried it was on your cell phone... and that was something we honestly didn't have in place... the ability to cancel when someone was logged into the account on a cell phone. 99% of the use of the Carrot platform is usually on a desktop so it was an oversight on our end to double check that.

This platform is the place to be.
