There is a growing trend of apartment owners investing in submetering systems for water as these have gotten more affordable.

You do not actually need any income if they have high enough income to afford their bills plus your new house.

Most people couldn’t afford to do that.

That kind of errand is not the sort of thing they are paid to do and our liaison wasn't able to devote enough time to the problem on a daily basis to make it happen which I completely understood but it was still frustrating. 

Most of these gurus haven't really invested in years, or they pay someone else to do it while they specialize in being a social media influencer and motivational speaker, so I share that frustration.

I have a W-2 Job, capital saved up for a down payment (or two), and a buy box based on my affordability.

Once the time is right, with enough research, I would jump into a market (hopefully local if affordable) and get started.

I can’t afford the $5/unit tier so maybe their support is better but our definitely sucks and definitely shows their internal teams are not on the same page, resulting in mixed messages constantly, sub par support and honestly a lot of gaslighting. 

I also plan on starting to have my realtor send me MLS properties that popup in the Indianapolis area and start looking through numbers and pricing to see what I can afford and be beneficial.

Focus on neighborhoods near employers or schools, and explore slightly outside Austin for more affordable options.
