Raising Capital When First Starting Out
Hello, I'm young individual who is interested in long term buy and hold multifamily real estate. I personally have no connections with anyone who is involved in this niche and I'm wondering how other people have started their journey. I mainly am curious how people have raised capital for their first properties.
Thanks!
Martin

Hey Martin,
If you're interested in getting started, you should try to find a career in real estate. Wholesaling, real estat agent, PM, etc. The best way to connect and learn is to be in rooms where it's going down.
In terms of captial your best bet is to focus on a primary income that cash flow sufficiently, saving as much as you can and doing something real estate related so you can get familiar with the industry. Once the time is right, with enough research, I would jump into a market (hopefully local if affordable) and get started.
