My recommendation  would be for you to plan for a 1031 which would be more comprehensive tax relief and simpler to navigate while you investigate OZs.

Timeshare Relief is one of the companies that charges you to take your timeshare off your hands.

Their net worth plummets in exchange for an illusion of relief.   

(quite properly to my mind) offered extra relief of varying degrees to those who were affected by their mandatory shut down orders.

It's a relief to know I don't need to own my own home.Just starting the forums and podcasts seem a bit overwhelming.

I'm not really happy about it but the relief I feel to get out of the situation feels excellent. 

The eviction moratorium is scheduled to lift on June 30, and until that time, the Rent Relief Program is providing grant funds for rent and rent related expenses for up to three months in advance. 

Now during the crisis the lenders put a moratorium on issuing the 1099C to any owner occ. and many others as they were just over whelmed.. but these as you note that the other person got one.. the banks are now issuing them.what this does is tells the IRS you got debt relief and said amount of debt relief then become ordinary income and you must pay tax on it..

Some banks did offer a little relief, usually 3 months of no payments on the mortgage that were tacked on to the backend, but many people had to wait much longer before being able to get a reputable contractor in to fix their homes.
