Philip L. First Time Refinance - Charges
24 March 2021 | 0 replies
Just about to close on my first refinance and hoped someone could explain the charges to me a little better.I was originally quoted - Option 2 The house came in at $175K not $180K, I was told no other fees I've got the settlement statement through and it's about $4,000 more than I had expected.I understand every charge after Title ChargesIn regards to New loan charged based on the quote does it seem correct and if someone has time to explain each that would be helpful, if not I'm just wanting your thoughts.

25 September 2020 | 23 replies
The brick is full-sized brick, all laid horizontally as a veneer cavity wall. There are other small settlement cracks in different areas outside the house as well. From googling, my best guess is that the house has settled due to shrink and swell issues in clay soil and it impacted the brick negatively due to there being no expansion joints. So now I am trying to figure out, do I go through with the purchase or not?
