Get legal council on how you can proceed to make sure that it is publicly known that she has been encroaching on your yard.

For legal sake until counciled otherwise perhaps use the phrase " I like to buy ugly houses and we like to buy ugly houses" What it basically boils down to ....are you stating a fact or trying to confuse the customer as to make them think you are that other company.

But you have about 2 choices in Portland now thanks to a completely lame ordinance  from a lame city council who want to keep tenants in their "homes" at all costs.   1) you can evict them on a violation of their lease (not paying, smoking, extra pet, noise, etc),  but they have they easily have right to stop the violation and stay.  

Hello All, Having a devil of a time finding names and addresses of landlords in my area (vancouver island british columbia).

I don't have a n extact answer for you, but I would keep talking with people (zoning department, building inspector, city council, surveyors, etc). 

Not the other way around.No offense those who are legal council have most problem finding a landlord.

However, I think it can be mitigated if people become more involved in their communites.Go to you city council meetings, town council, what ever - and speak your mind on these issues.
