We do have a week booked for Thanksgiving and I expect a Christmas week booking as well.

They're far from the cool ego / trophy property.

I prefer them to have electric stoves, and electric water heaters--two less things for them blow themselves and the other units to Smithereens.Those coiled gas lines do leak from time to time, and the other things I don't like in the units are candles (open candles or religious candles in a colored glass from the local grocery store) or live Christmas trees.

That's because you aren't available or willing to take the calls on Christmas about a plugged up toilet, the guests are stuck in the snow, or there is a squirrel in the fireplace.  

Not sure if this is a good idea or not, but I just thought of it last night.for lower income rentals (A.K.A. people who have a hard time saving money) you could start a "Christmas savings fund" (or holiday if you're politically correct").

So you get a free two week booking at Christmas rates (we actually booked 14 days all at ABOVE our Christmas rates this year) in April that none of the other resorts get, which is a nice headstart every year.Solara would not be my first choice as home prices are higher like Storey Lake, but the location is not as good so it doesn't rent at as much of a premium. 

He worked in renovation and had nice dewalt tools where I had the $100 4 pack of tools you could get at Christmas non lithium.
