I paint the cabinet interiors semigloss white but am not sure how smart that is and sand (ie, clean) and gel stain the drawer interiors.

In addition to these steps, I would clean the nicotine from the walls, then open all the windows and doors to let fresh air run through the house for 24 hours (or as long as possible).

And this is my cheapo house I bought for $38K, I sanded and restained the cabinets with gel stain and two coats of poly.

I'm struggling to find all the data I want, and when I do it's super difficult to get the data to gel well. 

I wish I'd gone with 2 King beds, to minimize confusion about sheet sizing, but also because they are spacious and I get compliments about the mattress on the King (it is a memory foam, whereas the Queen is a gel hybrid).
